Configuration Documentation
Learn how to connect and configure your server environments with PortDroid.
1. Connecting to the Portainer API
To connect PortDroid to your Portainer CE or EE instance:
1. Log in to your Portainer web management console.
2. Navigate to 'My Account' in the top right profile dropdown.
3. Under 'Access tokens', generate a new API token.
4. In PortDroid, tap 'Add Server', select 'Portainer', enter your instance URL (e.g., https://portainer.yourdomain.com:9443), and paste the API token.
5. If using self-signed TLS certificates on internal networks, adjust the TLS verification toggle accordingly.
2. SSH Key Authentication
PortDroid supports password authentication and cryptographic SSH keys:
- Supported key algorithms: RSA, ECDSA, and Ed25519 in OpenSSH or PEM formats (including passphrase-protected keys).
- Import your private key file or copy your public key into the server's ~/.ssh/authorized_keys file for instant, secure authentication.
3. Local On-Device AI Setup
To enable offline, private AI assistance:
1. Navigate to Settings > Local AI Models in PortDroid.
2. Browse the verified catalog of LiteRT-LM models.
3. Verify device RAM requirements (devices with at least 6 GB to 8 GB of RAM are recommended).
4. Accept the model license terms and download. Once saved, the model runs 100% offline, even in airplane mode.
